What we are building

We believe that large industry verticals, largely ignored by modern computing, are changing at an unprecedented pace. We are a Y Combinator backed hardware + software start-up that provides lab quality testing in the field to industries like oil & gas. We do this by building our propitiatory portable testing equipment and software to replace the need for an expert to conduct testing.

Backed by top Silicon Valley and oil industry investors, we are rapidly growing. We are looking for a prolific scientist to lead an independent research program within the company. You’re an accomplished academic or industrial researcher with proven ability to design and lead a research program, and to lead a team. Reporting to the co-founders of Validere, you will lead an ambitious research program to develop new analytical tools and methods that make lab-quality analysis of petroleum products in the accessible to field workers with minimal training. This program will provide the foundation for Validere’s long-term product strategy.
