What we are building

We believe that large industry verticals, largely ignored by modern computing, are changing at an unprecedented pace. We are a Y Combinator backed hardware + software start-up that provides in-the-field lab testing to industries like oil & gas. We do this by building our propitiatory portable testing equipment and software to replace the need for an expert to conduct testing.


Who we are looking for

Backed by top Silicon Valley and oil industry investors, we are rapidly growing. We are looking to hire several highly motivated candidates with a technical diploma, BSc., or relevant industry experience to support the optimization and development of our portable analytical devices both in the lab and on-site. The successful individual should have technical and scientific experience in process development and analytical method development, their responsibilities can include:

  • Development of robust analytical methods
  • Analysis of complex data sets using statistical methods
  • Writing technical documents (SOPs, analytical method qualification documents, ASTMs etc.)
  • Troubleshooting and resolving analytical method and instrument issues


Desired qualifications (in order of importance)

  • Technical diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Technology, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Petroleum Engineering or related discipline
  • Strong understanding of analytical method development
  • Detail-oriented, well-organized, technically competent conducting laboratory experiments  
  • Ability to occasionally travel across North America


Bonus points

  • Experience working in petroleum quality or measurement space
  • Experience working in an industry or academic analytical laboratory
  • Basic programming experience (e.g. Python, MATLAB etc.)
  • Understanding of ASTM method development and/or statistical analysis
